Meet Our Staff

Rob Gardner - Service Officer Supervisor

Rob has been the supervisor for The American Legion here in the Philadelphia Regional Office since 2018.  He served as a US Marine where he was a Combat Correspondent and wrote stories and took photos for all sorts of exercises.

He is now at 100% P&T.  He has written four books on VA Benefits.

Cydney Moore/Foye-Secretary Extraordinare

Our dynamic secretary who keeps our office running smooth.  She should be the first person you speak too, because she is going to take good care of you.  She schedules our appointments, and is the smiling voice on the phone!

Joe Gunkel-Service Officer

Joe has been working for veterans in early 2017. He's old school, and he has files and paperwork for every thing VA you can think of, and the experience to match!  He too served in the Marines, but try not to hold it against him.  He is VERY active in his America Legion post, and is a well-known advocate in the Philly vet community.

Pat Crooms-Service Officer

Yet another Marine and 100 percenter in our lineup! Not only can Pat assist you in getting your VA benefits, but she's also got extensive knowledge of benefits and other types of support outside of the veterans administration. She's someone you want to talk to if there's homeless issues, job searching, free meals, and other services that extend far beyond her work as a Service Officer, which she is also outstanding at!

Bill Baehr-Service Officer

Bill joins us from the Air Force side of things. He served as a "comms guy" and was boots on ground in the big sandbox.  Another 100% vet.

Not only can he assist you with just about every aspect of the VA, he even has his own charity, a powerlifting therapy for those veterans who may be able to find comfort from PTSD and other mental illnesses through physical fitness.

Nate Porter-Service Officer

Nate is the Grand Old Man of the Veterans Benefits Administration.  He's been slugging away against the VA for many years. Nate is also a US Army Veteran with a very large network of veterans, vet services, and other contacts you may find helpful.
